wiga

WIGA Transport Beteiligungs-GmbH & Co. KG (WIGA) is a joint venture of Wintershall Dea AG, Germany, and SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH, Germany.

GAZPROM and Wintershall Dea joined forces more than 30 years ago to expand the position of the energy source natural gas in the European market. The transport of natural gas through pipelines will continue to be of great importance for Europe's security of supply in the future. Both partners have contributed in material ways to creating the transport systems needed to achieve that.

WIGA operates as holding company for the joint transport activities and primarily takes on financing and reporting responsibilities for the companies of the WIGA Group. WIGA's subsidiaries – GASCADE Gastransport GmbH, OPAL Gastransport GmbH & Co. KG and NEL Gastransport GmbH – operate independently under the umbrella of the holding company.
